Obituary

JoAnn Rogers Hall-Dills, passed away on May 28, 2026. Born on July 27, 1944, JoAnn lived a life marked by love, resilience, and dedication to her family and community. JoAnn graduated with her credentials from Haywood Community College in 1986, embarking on a career that would span three decades. Her commitment to the nursing profession as a devoted Certified Nursing Assistant who dedicated 30 years to caring for others, reflected her compassionate nature and unwavering desire to serve those in need with kindness and professionalism.

Her personal journey was equally remarkable. JoAnn's spirited heart found its first love, Wayne Hall, when she married at the tender age of 16, a union that blossomed after a chance meeting at a roller-skating rink – a story that underscores the serendipity and warmth she brought to all relationships. This first marriage began on March 15, 1961. Later in life, she met Troy in 1981, and their bond led to marriage in 1982. Together, they shared a long and joyful partnership.

Beyond her professional and family life, JoAnn was a devoted mother who cherished her role with deep passion. Her love extended to her flowers and hobbies, including coloring, engaging in word search puzzles, and enjoying westerns on television as well as spending time with her family. These simple pleasures highlighted a joyful spirit and a loving personality that touched many lives.

JoAnn is survived by cherished family members, including her daughter Pamela Turner (Randy); two sons, Ricky Hall (Vicki) and James Hall (Calisa); She also leaves behind seven beloved grandchildren and six treasured great-grandchildren whose lives she deeply enriched and a special niece, Rita Bolin.
