Jo Leonard

Jo Ann Haynes Leonard, age 81, formerly of Clyde died on December 25, 2011, at Autumn Care Nursing Home. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Fulmer and Eliza McGowen Haynes. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jay Leonard; a sister, Loree Henson and brothers, Charles, Harold, and Gerald Haynes. She was a member of Clyde First Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Renee Stamey and her husband, Michael, of Waynesville; two grandchildren, Chris Stamey of Waynesville and Stephanie Hopfinger and her husband, Jason, of Cullowhee; and a great-grandson, Coleman Hopfinger. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Dr. T. David Phillips officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. A private burial will be held at a later date.
