Jimmie Stewart

Clyde, Jimmie Leon "Jim" Stewart, age 68, of 245 Merry Way, passed away on Sunday, March 21, 2010 at Mission Campus/St. Joseph Hospital. A native of Washington, DC, he had formerly resided in West Palm Beach, Florida before moving to Haywood County in 2005. He was the son of the late Ray and Verta Nash Stewart. He was in security system sales and was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Waynesville. Jim loved his family and enjoyed diving, fishing, and rock hounding. Jim was married 47 years to the girl next door, Bell Wall Stewart, and is also survived by a son, George Stewart and his wife, Kelly; and one grandson, Kevin JR Stewart, all of Clyde. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at the First Presbyterian Church of Waynesville with Reverend John P. Lindsay officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Waynesville Roof Fund, 305 North Main Street, Waynesville, NC 28786.
