Jewel Medford

Waynesville-Jewel Brock Medford, age 68, passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2007 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native of Graham County, she had resided in Haywood County for most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Don and Loye Burris Brock and was also preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Cable. Jewel loved her antiques and had once owned an antique shop. She was a member of Allens Creek Baptist Church. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 25, 2007 at Allens Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Eddie Deitz officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Vernon "Beaver" Medford; one daughter, Sherri Heatherly, of Waynesville; one son, Rodney Brock Medford, of Waynesville; two sisters, Opal Hannah and her husband, Roy, of Lincoln Park, MI and Lucille Joseph of Waynesville; and three grandchildren, Nikki Hatton, Brittney Medford, and Brock Medford.
