Jessie Early Clark, a beloved member of the Haywood County community, passed away on August 29, 2023. Born on December 27, 1948, in Haywood County.  Jessie was known for her unwavering dedication to her family and her commitment to serving others.

 

Jessie was born to Troy Joseph and Ruby Lee Moore Early, who provided a nurturing upbringing filled with love and support. In 2020, she experienced the heartbreaking loss of her husband, Harry Dewayne Clark. Despite this loss, Jessie remained resilient and faced life's challenges with grace.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Carmen Thomas Stiles; a son Tony Thomas; and a sister Betty Gaddis.  Left to cherish her memory are her son-in-law Ken Stiles of Canton; a son, Dwayne Clark of S.C.; two brothers Leon Early of Hendersonville and Buddy Early of Waynesville; five grandsons: Michael, Jordan, Chris, Free, and Zayne; as well as two great-grandchildren: Jadeyn and Brayden. Jessie cherished her role as a mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She poured love into each relationship she formed and valued every moment spent with those closest to her.

 

Throughout her career, Jessie made a significant impact in the healthcare industry. She was employed at Haywood Regional Medical Center in the housekeeping department where she consistently went above and beyond in ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients and staff. Additionally, she worked in housekeeping at Haywood Community College, exemplifying her strong work ethic and dedication to her craft.  Jessie's proudest accomplishment was her membership at Truth Baptist Church.  She found solace and community within the church and cherished the relationships she fostered there.

Jessie Earley Clark will be remembered for her kind heart, selflessness, and unwavering dedication to her faith and community.  Her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

At Jessie's request, no formal services are planned.  She will forever be missed but never forgotten.
