Jerry Henderson

"1940-2016" Asheville – Jerry Arthur Henderson, age 75, passed away on Friday, September 16, 2016 at Charles George VA Medical Center. A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late O.T. and Gladys Cook Henderson. Jerry was an United States Army veteran. He retired from Poole Trucking and was a member of West Asheville Baptist Church. Jerry is survived by his wife of 20 years, Phyllis Stiles Henderson; three step-sons, Matthew Braswell and his wife, Donna, of Candler; Johnathan Braswell and his wife, Carol, of Easley, SC; and Joseph Cagle and his wife, Amanda, of Asheville; a brother, Phil Henderson and his wife, Peggy, of Canton; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 18, 2016 at New Cruso Cemetery with the Reverend Darren Browning officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. prior to the service at Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
