Jeffrey Ellwood

Brevard, Jeffrey Albert Ellwood, age 63, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2022, at Carepartners Hospice Solace Center.

A native of Daytona Beach, Florida, he was a son of the late John Fiske and Norma Wood Ellwood.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John Fiske Ellwood, Jr.  Jeff had resided in Transylvania County for 33 years and enjoyed building cars, watching Andy Griffith and gardening.

Jeff is survived by a son, Johnny Fiske Elwood, II, of Cullowhee; sister, Teresa Ellwood; three brothers, Brooks Ellwood (Sue), Tom Ellwood (Peggy) and Perry Ellwood; sister-in-law, Betsy Ellwood; eight nieces, Megan and Stephanie Wheeler, Jennifer Ellwood, Ashley Sipos, Katie Beland, Chrissy Ellwood, Robin Foley and Amber Ellwood; two nephews, Isaac Wheeler and Perry Ellwood.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

The care of Mr. Ellwood has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
