Jeanie Rector

Lillian Jeanie Arrington Rector, age 84, died on Monday, November 8, 2010, at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native of Tampa FL, she was the daughter of the late Mallie Ree and Bertie Bell Cooper Arrington. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Reuben William Rector, who died in 1986 and a brother, Robert Arrington. Jeanie enjoyed bird watching in her backyard. She will always have a special place in her heart for her companion, Angel. She is survived by three daughters, Martha Jean Medford and her husband, Jim, of Spring, TX, Betty Ann Newman and her husband, Skipper, of Alabaster, AL, and Lillie Mae 'Buttons" Smith and her husband, Jim, of Lawrenceville, GA; a sister, Betty Moore of Prospect, KY; six grandchildren, Suzann Adams and Anna Giles; Angela Trucks and Jennifer Fountain, and Roy and Bill Smith; and eight great-grandchildren. A private family service will be held at a later date, honoring Jeanie's request. Wells Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Canton is in charge of arrangements.
