Jason Creson

Clyde - Jason Ray Creson, 39, of the Clyde community passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at his residence.

A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was the son of Lewis "Louie" and Janice Lanning Creson of Canton. Jason was a lifelong employee of his family business, Lanning Logging in Clyde, a business that was founded by his grandfather, Ray Lanning, in the 1960's. Jason was a true outdoorsman having a love for hunting and fishing in his beloved Western North Carolina Mountains.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Joshua L. Creson and his wife, Jenny of Canton; a niece and nephew, Jordan and Jayse Creson both of Canton; his grandmother, Betty Rhinehart Lanning; three aunts, Debra Lanning West and her husband, Stacy, Ronda Lanning and Robin Creson; and an uncle, Jerry Lanning.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
