Janie Marlowe

Janie Fulghum Marlowe, 93, of Asheville passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Flesher’s of Fairview.

A native of Georgia, she was daughter of the late Hoyt and Lola Bell Powell Fulghum.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Alexander Marlowe, Sr. in 2018 and siblings, Noah, Faith, Mae and Martha

She was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her sons, Bob Marlowe and his wife, Patricia Smith and Daniel Marlowe and his wife, Linda; sister, Flora Wilson; four grandchildren, Joseph Smith and his wife, Kayla, Robert Marlowe, Hannah Boock and her husband, Timothy and Madison Cain and her husband, Joseph and one great granddaughter.

Mrs. Marlowe will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery.  The family plans to hold a memorial service later this year.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be an animal rescue of one’s choice.

The care of Mrs. Marlowe has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Candler.
