Janice Woodlief

Waynesville, Janice Woodlief, age 77, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2019.

A native of Connecticut, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Mary Cianci Anastasia.  In addition to her parents she preceded in death by her husband, Robert Woodlief; son, Mark E. Woodlief; and sister, Patty A. Johansen.  Janice attended Biltmore Baptist Church.  She was up and at work by 4:30 a.m. and was a fixture and model employee with Burger King in Clyde for 17 years.  On the weekends, Janice worked for the Rocky Waters Motel in Maggie Valley.  Once she finally took some time to rest, she would knit beautiful blankets and dish towels for family.  Janice was a loving wife, Mother and Momma who will be forever missed.

Janice is survived by two daughters, Barbara Ann Klar (Sean) of Washington and Michelle Woodlief McCord (Ronald) of Waynesville; son, Eric Woodlief (Rachel) of Waynesville; three sisters, Paulette A. Watkins, of Largo, Florida, Madeline Woodlief (Louis) of Davie, Florida and Gail Pantle, of Oregon; four grandchildren, Micah Norlin, Jameson Stanton, Jennifer Rose Szilagyi Woodlief and Tyler Micah Woodlief.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Daryl Hannah officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
