Janice Huff

Janice “Jann” Huff, 76, of Bent Creek went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 21, 2021 peacefully at her home.

A native of Buncombe County, she was the daughter of the late Landon and Norma Ray. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Gretchen Manus and sister, Gail Grover.

Earlier in life, Jann had a Christian singing ministry. She sang with several Christian groups as well as a soloist. A great Christian lady, she was also a wonderful wife, mother and most of all friend. Her loss left a hole in our hearts because we all loved her.  She is now free of illness and pain; she is safe with the Lord.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Walter A. Huff; son-in-law, Johnny Manus; granddaughter, Alyssa Manus both of Gastonia, NC; two sisters-in-law, Betty Huff and Kay Huff and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 p. m. on Thursday, May 27, 2021 in the Wells Chapel of Faith, 1 Chapel of Faith Drive, Candler with Reverend Keith Thielke officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 p. m.  Entombment will follow the service at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

The care of Mrs. Huff has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Candler.
