Janice Gunter

Waynesville-Janice Denise "Nessie" Gunter, age 40, died on Wednesday, August 17, 2005 at her residence. A native and life-long resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of Lester T. and Ruth Creasman Gunter. She was of Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she is survived by a sister, Karen Morgan, of Lacey Springs, AL; three brothers, Gary Gunter, of Piedmont, SC, and Kevin and Keith Gunter, both of Waynesville; several nieces and nephews, as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins; and she will also be missed by her very dear friend, Anna Smart. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 21, 2005 at Green Hill Cemetery with Reverend Daryl Hannah officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home and at other times, at the home of Lester and Ruth Gunter, 267 Carolina Avenue, Waynesville.
