James Westcott, Iii

Waynesville-James Laurance ''Tripp'' Westcott, III, age 37, of 32 Tahoe Drive, died Thursday, November 6, 2003 at Haywood Regional Medical Center.

A native of Chattanooga, Tennessee, he had lived most of his life in Haywood County. He was a 1984 graduate of Tuscola High School and was a member of Hazelwood Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Pat B. Day and her husband, John of Waynesville; father and stepmother, James L. Westcott and his wife, Sue, of Lancaster, SC; his maternal grandmother, Virginia Browning of Waynesville; paternal grandfather, James L. Westcott, Sr. and his wife, Marion, of Franklin, NC; a sister Brandolyn Westcott, of Waynesville; and a nephew, Bailey Mills, of Waynesville.

Graveside services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2003 at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 2:30 until 3:45 p.m. prior to the service at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
