James Jimmy Ledford

James “Jimmy” Ledford, 52, passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2025. He was born in Haywood County, on February 9, 1973 to Gerald Ledford and the late Gwendolyn Hooper Ledford. In addition to his mother he is proceeded in death by his sisters, Shree Ledford and Tina Haynes.

A man of simple pleasures, Jimmy took great joy in fishing, finding serenity in the stillness of the water, where time seemed to pause. Jimmy had a passion for racing and was an avid NASCAR fan. These hobbies reflected his zest for life, each excursion a new adventure filled with the promise of laughter and camaraderie. Jimmy was a member of the Belmont Baptist Church.

Jimmy is survived by his son, Dustin Ledford; grandchildren, Jaycee, Kinslee and Ryder; along with his father, Gerald Ledford.

In honoring his memory, friends and family are invited to gather for visitation at Wells Funeral Home in Waynesville on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at the same location at 2:00 PM, with Reverend Kenny Banks officiating. Jimmy will be laid to rest at Fines Creek Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery following the services.
