James King

"1945 – 2016" Clyde- James William King, age 70, passed away Monday, January 18, 2016 at the Brian Center of Waynesville. A native of Gaston County, he was a son of the late Columbus and Minnie King. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by four brothers, Britt, Roy, Donald, and Ralph King; and three sisters, Bonnie Christopher, Elvira Green, and Ollie Trull. James enjoyed hunting and adored his granddaughter. He is survived by a son, Robert King of Canton; one sister, Lassie Christopher of Gastonia, a sister-in-law, Ruby Hollifield of Clyde; one granddaughter, Allanah King; and many beloved nieces and nephews. A memorial gathering will be held from 10:30 until 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Wells Funeral Home in Canton.
