James Hill

Candler - James Grady Hill, 84, passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Blake Medical Center in Bradenton, Florida.

A native of Henderson County, he was a son of the late James McHampton and Margaret Davis Hill. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Charles, Joe,, Max and an infant brother, Jerry Hill. James retired from Champion International with 32 years of service and was a United States Marine combat veteran having served in Korea.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Bessie Frizzell Hill of Bradenton, Florida and Candler; three sisters, Mary Helen Justice of Columbus, Janice Goodyear of Las Crucers, New Mexico, and Linda Stepp; one brother, Eddie Hill of Hendersonville; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with the Reverend Tracy Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 1:15 p.m. prior to the service at Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
