James Ervin

Waynesville, NC - James Everett Ervin, 65, died on November 14, 2013. Born and raised in Charlotte, James was the son of the late Paul R. and Dorothy Denton Ervin. James graduated from Myers Park High School in 1966 and was a member of the State Championship football team that year. He attended Pfeiffer College, UNC and graduated from Georgia State University and School of Law and was a member of the Georgia State Bar Association. He is survived by his brother, Paul R. Ervin, Jr. and wife, Katharine, of Waynesville and two sisters, Diana Ervin Strickland and husband, Gerald of Sunset Beach, North Carolina and Sarah Ervin Smith and husband, Nicholas, of Boiling Spring Lakes, North Carolina. A service was held at Sharon Memorial Park in Charlotte officiated by the Reverend John Fitzgerald of Providence United Methodist Church.
