Jackie Browning

Waynesville, Jackie Sue Browning, age 65, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2013 at MedWest Haywood. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late William E. and Jesse Viola Franklin McDaniel; three sisters, infant Mary Ann McDaniel, Betty Haney Vellano, and Sharon McDaniel; and two brothers, David and Charles McDaniel. She was a homemaker, was a great cook, and was passionate about animal welfare. She deeply loved her cats, but her greatest love was for her grandchildren, and she was a wonderful "Nanny." She is survived by a daughter, Christie B. Coward (Daniel Ledford) of Waynesville; a sister, Joan Greenman (Bill) of Columbia, South Carolina; two grandsons, Christopher Coward (Jeremy Wise) and Nicholas Coward; and one great-granddaughter, Karma Putnam. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
