Jackie Alexander

Canton- Jackie S. Alexander died on December 3, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Mark G. & Lucille F. Rathbone and Frank M. Browning. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, B. Emmons Alexander; cousins, Harold Chambers, Bill & Jerry Caldwell, Stephen Alello, Brenda Mease, and Joyce Henderson.

Jackie is survived by her daughter, Beverly R. Swanson; cousins, Danny Caldwell, Donna Radar, Debbie Early, Sandra Fowler, Tammy Cobb, Terry Henderson, Carol Henderson, John Daryl & Tracy Hightower, and Dinah Hawkins Smith; as well as an aunt, Doris (J.T. Hightower).

Born in Haywood County, she was a member of Louisa Chapel, Clyde Central United Methodist Church, Daughters of the American Revolution, Hilo Yacht Club, The Country Club of Asheville, and was a board member of Folkmoot for 20 plus years.

A farewell and Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Clyde with Pastor David Pittman officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. at Wells Funeral Homes of Canton.
