Jack Dillard Bowman, Jr., age 59, of Candler, North Carolina, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2026.

A native of Buncombe County, Jack was the son of the late Grace Maxine Jarvis. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Jeffrey Bowman.

Jack was a hardworking man who spent his career as a machine operator in the industrial field. He was truly a man of many talents and was known for the many trades he could do. He was a member of Fruit of Labor Worship Center of Fairview. In his spare time, Jack enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, who brought him much joy, as well as his special nephews Tyler Arrington and Tyler Ferguson.

He is survived by his son, Matt Bowman (Karissa), brothers, Kevin Arrington (Lisa), and Robbie Arrington; three grandchildren, Gracie Bowman, Karmen Motley, and Emma Motley.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at Wells Funeral Home Canton Chapel with Pastor Willie Warren officiating. The family will receive friends from one hour prior, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park located in Candler, N.C.
