Jack Bishop

December 15, 1935 — September 18, 2018

Waynesville, Jack Lee Bishop, age 82, passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at CarePartners Solace Center.

A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Robert C. and Ada Smith Bishop. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Shelby Bouchers; seven sisters and two brothers. Jack retired from the City of Charlotte with 30 years of service and proudly served his country in the United States Army. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his grandchildren.

Jack is survived by his daughter, Debbie Fletcher, and her husband, Bobby, of Hazelwood; son, Terry Bishop, of Waynesville; sister, Geraldine Tedder, of Winston-Salem; three grandchildren, Wesley, Brandon and Devon.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Finchers Chapel United Methodist Church cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. prior to the service at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
