Hugh Burford
Hugh Burford passed quietly the afternoon of Sunday, December 3, 2023 in Waynesville, NC. at the age of 92.
He will be remembered by his community as a free spirit who loved music, gardening and educating young people so they could succeed in life.
He is survived by his wife, Dot Burford and his children, Jennifer Sanner and Mark Burford; and sisters, Margret Robinson and Kathleen Guinn.
There will be a memorial service for friends and family on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Waynesville.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the First United Methodist Church of Waynesville after school program, 566 S. Haywood Street, Waynesville, NC 28786.
