Howard Glawson

Canton – Howard David Glawson, 54, passed away on October 12, 2022, at Silver Bluff Nursing Home.

David was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina to Charles and Gailya Talbert Glawson. He was preceded in death by his twin sister, Helen Diane Glawson, who passed away in 1973; father, Charles Glawson; grandparents, Robert and Helen Jane Greene Talbert of Cliffside. David was a lifelong Methodist, and a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. He loved collecting old and new typewriters. He also loved to listen to music; soft rock and jazz were his favorites.

He is survived by his mother, Gailya Glawson of Hendersonville; a sister, Jane Powell (Stan) of Boiling Springs; two brothers, Gary Glawson of Alabama, and Brian Glawson of Michigan; Aunts, Robin Talbert (Bruce Goldstein) of West Virgina, Merry Owens (Bob) of Forest City; Uncle, George Glawson (Shirley) of Forest City. Many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family has requested a private service to be held at the Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery in Forest City. A Memorial service will be held later.
