Howard Fletcher

Howard 'Goldie' Fletcher, 91, of Leicester, passed away at home on Wednesday, August 8, 2012. A native of Haywood County, he was a son of the late Deaver and Daisy Thompson Fletcher. Goldie attended South Turkey Creek Baptist Church and was a retired custodian for Buncombe County Schools. He was a wonderful father and enjoyed camping and hunting.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Dora Jones Fletcher; son, JD Fletcher; grandson, Pritchard Dwayne Jones and great-granddaughter, Anna Jones.
He is survived by his children, Peggy Dills, Daisy (Warren) Lavoine, Louise (Howard) Jones and Sharon Fletcher; ten grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Candler on Monday, August 13th at 2:00 PM with his son-in-law, Howard Jones, officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 12th in the Moore Funeral Home Chapel of Faith, Candler from 7-9PM.
