Hilda Sides

Hilda Hargrove Sides, age 83 of 1727 Love Joy Road passed away peacefully on Monday, March 28, 2011, at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A Bethel native and longtime Western North Carolina resident, she was the daughter of the late William Manson and Minnie Vashti Deaver Hargrove. She was preceded in death by a son, Derrick Martin Sides, who died in 1986; a brother, Rufus T. Hargrove; and a sister, Evelyn H. Duckett. She is survived by her husband, Richard E. Sides; a son; Victor B. Sides of Canton; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2011, at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Riley Covin officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:45 until 10:45 a.m. prior to the service.
