Candler – Hilda Devlin Henderson, 76, passed away on Monday, December 27, 2021 at Aston Park Health Care Center.

Hilda was a native of Haywood County and a daughter of the late Samuel and Vonnie Faye Mason Devlin.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Ottis Henderson, who died in 1997 and two grandchildren, Sara Claire and Brianna Skye Henderson.  Hilda retired from American Enka, BASF, & Colbond with 42 years of service and a member of Temple Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son, Kimsey Henderson and his wife, Deneese; three grandchildren, Natalie, Zak and Abby of Alabaster, Alabama; one sister, Emily Cody of Fletcher as well as many nieces and nephews.  Special thanks to her niece, Laura Meadows Felder, for her help and care over the years.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 3, 2022 at Thickety Community Cemetery with Pastor Tommy Crowe officiating.

The care of Mrs. Henderson has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Homes of Canton and an online memorial register is available at “Obituaries” at www.wellsfuneralhome.com
