Henry Carver

Waynesville-Henry Vaughn Carver, age 87, of 23 Cottonwood Lane, died on Monday, September 4, 2006 at Memorial Mission Hospital. A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Orville and Tyne Sutton Carver. He was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Carver, who died in 2000. He was a US Navy veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Marylou Carver; five sons, Larry, Lee, and Neal Carver of Marion, NC and Timmy and Steve Carver of Waynesville; three daughters, Juanita Carver of Marion, NC and Diane and Lisa Carver, both of Waynesville; three stepdaughters, Ruth Giefer of Boiling Springs, TN, Venetta Stanwicz of Summerland Key, FL, and Kattie Burgess of Waynesville; one sister, Nellie Cagle, of Waynesville, and one brother, Clamer Carver, of Waynesville. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 8, 2006 at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park with Reverend Jerry Nelson and Reverend Millard Grant officiating.
