Hazel Christopher

Our beautiful and most precious mom and aunt, Hazel Haney Christopher, has gone to the Lord in the early hours on Sunday, January 30, 2022.

A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Printus Ralph and Minnie Williams Haney. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her two sons, Eric Dale Christopher and Ricky Lee Christopher; four sisters; and one brother. Hazel could be found bird watching, tending her flower garden, browsing yard sales, and singing a sweet tune.

She is survived by her son, Steve Alan Christopher, of Waynesville; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a special niece, Sarah Stamey Mills, who was like a daughter.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Wells Funeral Homes Chapel of Canton with the Reverend Brenda Stroupe officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 P.M. to 2:45 P.M. prior to the service at the funeral home.

The care of Mrs. Christopher has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Homes of Canton.
