Haruko Spence

Clyde – Haruko Yaguchi Spence, 91, passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2019 at her home.

A native of Japan, she was a daughter of the late Kunichi and Thu Yaguchi.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. Haruko resided in Haywood County for 33 years.  She was a devoted Navy wife for over 30 years as well as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, John Spence; one son, Robert Spence and partner,Tammy Rostov, of Richmond, Virginia; one brother, Takeo Yaguchi of Japan; two grandchildren, Joshua Spence and Samantha Southall (Frank) ; and one great-granddaughter, Mia Raylynn Southall.

Private funeral services were held at Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
