Harrell Dean Henline "Dean", 67, of Waynesville, left this world unexpectedly on November 17, 2025, at his home. He was born on February 24, 1958, at the Haywood Regional Medical Center, to the late Billy Charles and Lillian Belle Muse Henline, and he imbued his life with love for his family and an unwavering commitment to his community.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by an infant twin brother, Darrell Gene Henline; his paternal grandparents, Carl and Rachel Henline; and maternal grandparents, Vance and Murial Muse.

Dean spent a distinguished career serving as a lieutenant with the Haywood County Sheriff's Department, after retirement from Haywood County he began his role as a patrol officer with the City of Clyde Police Department and retired from the City of Clyde after 11 years of service. His commitment to protecting and serving the public was a testament to his character—lighthearted yet deeply serious about his responsibilities. His family will forever remember him as a practical joker who could light up a room with his vibrant personality, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, love, and invaluable life lessons.

He shared 31 wonderful years with his beloved wife, Traci Turner Henline, who stood by his side through all of life's seasons. Dean was the proud father of two children, Turner Dean Henline of Waynesville, NC, and Lindsay Michelle Henline (Dakota Sneed) of Atlanta GA, whose lives he shaped with encouragement and strength. As a brother, he cherished his time with his sisters, Marsha Henline of Waynesville and Darlene McElrath (JD Bradley) of Clyde. He was also the adored nephew of Judy Downs Henline of Wilmington, and Penny Muse, of Waynesville, whose support and camaraderie filled his life with warmth.

Dean's love extended to his grandson, Hudson Prevost Davis, who he enjoyed many thrilling gaming sessions on the PS5 with, especially while engaging in a lively round of Call of Duty. These simple pleasures brought him immense joy and strengthened the bonds he held dear. Spencer, the beloved dog he rescued thirteen years ago, was his constant couch companion. His hobbies were rich and varied, encompassing a passion for collecting trains and cars, shared moments of joy with friends and family.

In his community, Dean was known as a regular at Waylon and Honey's, where many cherished memories were made these simple pleasures brought him immense joy and strengthened the bonds he held dear.

Deans Family is very extended with a host of relatives who also survive him. From his Extended blood relations: nieces, nephews, and cousins to those who became a part of his family thru his work life and community service.

A Celebration of Life for Harrell Dean Henline will take place on November 23, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Pinnacle Church located at 415 Fibreville St, Canton, NC, 28716. This gathering will honor not only his remarkable contributions but also the joyful spirit that he shared with all who knew him. Dean’s life may have been suddenly cut short, but his impact will endure in the hearts of his family, friends, and community.
