Crabtree Community, Gloria Ann Sellers, age 72, passed away on, Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Haywood Regional Medical Center.
Born in Flint, Michigan and a previous resident of Florida, she spent most of her life in Haywood County. She was the daughter of the late Fred and Lois Spicer Marcie. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Tina Louise Sellers; son, B.J. Sellers; one sister, Carol Orloff; and one brother, Larry Marcie.
Gloria was a fantastic mother and was affectionately known as "Granny Grunt". She volunteered with Meals on Wheels and was active with Long’s Chapel Compassionate Friends. She painted the Judy Jones building in Georgia. Gloria enjoyed fishing, boating, crafting and making quilts and blankets. She was known for making fudge and puppy chow, and baking cakes for her children and grandchildren.
Gloria is survived by her significant other, John Smith; daughter, Cathy Sellers of Iron Duff; son, Tim Sellers, and his wife, Marcha, of Iron Duff; brother, Bob Marcie of Georgia; 11 grandchildren, Brian, Tosha and Timothy Sellers, Steven, Brian and Isabella Gaddis, Carrie, Penny, Sara and Sean Sellers, and Caleb Demery; four great-grandchildren, Adrian, Nevaeh, Ty and Abel Sellers.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 13, 2020 in the chapel of Wells Funeral Home in Waynesville with Reverend Tim Cagle officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. prior at the funeral home.
The care of Ms. Sellers has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Homes.
