Glenda Gasperson Craig

Glenda Gasperson Craig, beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at her home with her niece, Holly, by her side. She was born on September 16, 1943, in Buncombe County to the late Horace and Grace Wells Gasperson.  Glenda's life was marked by her love for the Lord, compassion, dedication, and a warm spirit that touched the lives of all who knew her.

Glenda embarked on a fulfilling career as a secretary and Plant Manager at Rockwell International.

Glenda cherished every moment spent with her family and friends. She had a vibrant personality that could light up any room she entered. Her kindness enveloped those around her like a warm embrace.

She dedicated herself to helping others in need and was an active member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Glenda's strength of character and willingness to help others will always be remembered by those whose lives she enriched.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 18, 2023 at Oak Grove Baptist Church with the Reverend Jeff King officiating.. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.  Burial will follow at Hamblen Memory Gardens in Morristown, TN at 3:00 p.m.

In addition to her parents, Horace and Grace Wells Gasperson, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Craig; a brother, Jerry Gasperson; and a sister, Elaine Benson. Although she is no longer physically with us, Glenda's love and memory will forever be etched in the hearts of her loved ones.

Glenda is survived by her son, Jeffery Carr of Enka; a sister, Shirley Bostic of Hendersonville; and a brother, Larry Gasperson of Brevard. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews who will continue to honor her legacy for generations to come.

The care of Mrs. Craig has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
