Glen E. Donahue
Crabtree Community, Glen Edwin Donahue, age 66, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Memorial Mission Hospital.
A native of Florida, he was a son of the late Marcus and Bonnell Teston Donahue. Glen proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam Era. During 2010-2012 he worked with the Marines on upgrades of "Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected" military light tactical vehicles that were designed specifically to withstand improvised explosive device attacks and ambushes to keep our soldiers safe in Afghanistan, Iraq and Kuwait. He enjoyed bass fishing and deer hunting and working on cars.
Glen is survived by his wife of 3 ½ years, Marlene Hill Donahue; three daughters, Christina Donahue, Angela Bennett, and her husband, Brad and Emily Hylton, and her husband, Joey; four sons, Christopher Crosby, and his wife, Jennifer, Glen Donahue, Jr., Jefferey Donahue and Nicholas Donahue, and his wife, Jessica; two step-daughters, Melody Teague Rose and Kelsey Ferguson, and her husband, Nathan; one sister, Bonnie Owens, and her husband, Butch; two brothers, Earl Donahue, and his wife, Linda and Steve Donahue, and his wife, Jackie; many beloved grandchildren and step-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Rock Springs Baptist Church with Reverend Jeff Moore officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
