Gerald Mehaffey

Walland, Tennessee-Gerald Lynn Mehaffey, age 56, formerly of Waynesville, NC, died Saturday, June 5, 2004 at his home. He was a member of Allens Creek Baptist Church and was a Vietnam Veteran. He was a record keeper with Autin Moving and Storage in Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry "Jack" Mehaffey; and two brothers, Kenneth Lee and James Wilburn Mehaffey. He is survived by his mother, Monnie Cagle Mehaffey; his son, Jeremy Paul Mehaffey; his niece, Kim Yost; and his aunt, Juanita Turner. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday, June 7, 2004 at the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Homes and Cremation Services. The Reverend Glenn Gamble will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:30 p.m. Monday, prior to the services, at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park Mausoleum with military services conducted by the VFW Post 5202 and the American Legion Post 47.
