Gerald Heglar

Canton - Gerald "Jerry" Heglar, 72, passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2018.

A native of Haywood County, he was a son of the late Lewis Glenn and Beatrice Stamey Heglar. Gerald worked for the town of Canton as a Sanitation worker for 30 years.

He is survived by a sister, Joyce Lee Gay and husband, Carlton Gay, Jr., of Florida; one brother, James Heglar and wife, Sue, of Brevard; and caregiver, Betty T. Cooke.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 29, 2018 at Plains United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Michael Revord officiating.
