George Naugle

November 18, 1927 — November 11, 2003

Waynesville-George Everett Naugle, age 75, of 170 Stonecrest Heights, died Tuesday, November 11, 2003 at the Brian Center.

A native of Ohio, he is the son of the late Rachel Lentz. He is also preceded in death by a daughter, Dianna Carpenter; and a son, Wayne Patterson. He is a US Navy veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict. He is a lifetime member of the VFW Post 5202 of Waynesville. He was a barge boat captain for Interstate Oil Company.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Dorothy Kuhns Naugle; two daughters, Althea McPherson and her husband, Robert, of Waynesville and Nadine Davis and her husband, Russ, of New Castle, Delaware; one sister, Lola Lentz Barnhouse and her husband, John, of Florida; eleven grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren.

Memorial graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 14, 2003 at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. Military services will be conducted by VFW Post 5202 and American Legion Post 47.
