George retired in 2010 after an impressive 33-year career with Champion Paper, now known as Evergreen Packaging. His strong work ethic was exemplified by his remarkable attendance record. During his working years, he not only contributed to his employer but also exemplified dedication and commitment that inspired many around him.

A loving and devoted father, George took tremendous pride in his children and grandchildren, viewing them as his greatest accomplishments. He was extremely proud of their athletic and academic endeavors, cheering them on with enthusiasm and encouragement. His affection for his family was boundless, and he instilled in them the values of hard work and compassion.

Preceding him in death were his father, George Winslow House, Sr.; his mother, Mary Elizabeth Bagwell Morris; his stepfather, Joe Morris; and his loving wife of 33 years, Lynn House, who passed away in 2006.

George Winslow House, Jr., will be remembered not only for his industrious nature and unwavering love for his family but also for the joy he found in the simple pleasures of life, such as his passion for golf. His memory will forever be cherished by his family, who will carry forward the lessons of love, strength, and perseverance that he instilled in them.
