Waynesville, Geneva Anne Seagraves Whitten, 39, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2023 at her home.
A native of McDowell, WV, she had resided in Haywood County for the past 20 years. Geneva loved to dance, drawing/coloring, and listening to music. She was a very creative and loving person and will truly be missed.
Geneva was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Fritz and Alice Blakely; paternal grandparents, Fred and Ida Jean Seagraves, Sr.; step-brother, David Allen Denton, Jr; a step-sister, Amanda Lynn Denton Conner.
She is survived by her parents, Fred Wayne Seagraves, Jr. and Maewanda Seagraves; step-father, David “Bird” Denton; her husband of 20 years, Jeremy Whitten; one daughter, Kaitlyn Rachelle Whitten; one son, Shane Anthony Whitten; three sisters, Alice Seagraves (Floyd), Terri Denton (Slopoke), and Samantha Trejo (Alex); two brothers, Jacob Seagraves (Ashley), and Michael Denton (Samantha); mother-in-law, Donna Whitten; and several nieces and nephews.
A private family viewing will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2023.
The care of Mrs. Whitten has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
