Gary Clark

Candler – Gary Lee Clark, age 51, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2011, at Brian Center Health & Rehabilitation of Waynesville. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was the son of the Helen Chloe Martin Clark of Candler and the late Doyle James Clark, Sr. Gary retired from Buncombe County Schools in 2009 with 30 years of service, having worked as a plumber in the Maintenance Department. In addition to his mother, he is survived by two brothers, Eddie Clark and Jimmy Clark and his wife, Carol, all of Candler; one daughter and one granddaughter. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 30, 2011, at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Jack W. Collins officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery in Candler. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
