Gary Allison

Hazelwood, Gary Mont Allison, age 71, passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at Haywood Regional Medical Center.

A native of Jackson County, he was a son of the late Mont and Pauline Allen Allison.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Allison.  Gary’s pride and joy was each of his grandsons, they meant the world to him.

Gary is survived by his wife of 37 years, Patricia B. Allison; daughter, Amy Bumgarner, and her husband, Jonathan; son Wesley Allison, and his wife, Bridget, all of Waynesville; two brothers, Keith Allison, and his wife, Suzanne and Ralph Allison, and his wife, Belinda; three grandsons, Grayson and Hudson Allison and Lawson Bumgarner; and his little dog, Maddie.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Philip Wyatt and Reverend Patrick Davis officiating.  Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery.  Nephews and son-in-law will serve as pallbearers.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, December 27, 2021, at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
