Frona "Fronie" Bell Ledford

Fines Creek community, Frona Bell Ledford, 91, passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at CarePartners Hospice Solace Center.

A native of Haywood County, she was a daughter of the late Theodore and Reva Bolden Ledford.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Laura Beaver, Annie Hiter, Lucy Ledford (infant) and Martha Greene; three brothers, Joseph Daw, Junior and Fred Ledford; and a stepmother, Birdie Ledford.  Fronie graduated from Fines Creek High School in 1950 and was a member of Fines Creek Memorial Baptist Church.  She loved farming, quilting, canning, baking and everyone loved her chocolate pies.  Fronie enjoyed spending time with her family and loved her church and church family.

Fronie is survived by several nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 9, 2023 at Fines Creek Memorial Baptist Church with Reverends Jimmy Moore, Billy Ferguson and Josh Skidmore officiating.  Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until service time at the church.
