Fredia Sizemore

Clyde, Fredia Wilde Sizemore, 97, passed away on Monday, September 10, 2018 at Silver Bluff Nursing Home.

A native of Madison County, she was the daughter of the late Reverend Joe Wilde and Lona Wallin Wilde. In addition to her parents, Fredia was preceded in death by her husband, Jennings Wilson Sizemore in 1943; a daughter-in-law, Kay Sizemore; one sister, Retha Ward and two brothers, Quenton and Vinson Wilde. Fredia worked in the cafeteria at Clyde School for 11 years. She then worked at Enka for 28 years as a Nylon Draw Twisting Operator. She enjoyed quilting, flowers, cooking and family. Fredia was a member of the Barberville Baptist Church.

She is survived by her two sons, Gene Sizemore (Mary) of Clyde and Kenny Sizemore of Lexington, SC; a sister, Edith Flynn of Marshall; four grandsons, Jennings Sizemore (Tammi), Brian Sizemore (Shaundra), Jeff Sizemore (Rebecca) and Dwayne Sizemore (Serra); and ten great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 13, 2018 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Jennings Sizemore officiating. Burial will follow at Bon A Venture Cemetery on Old Clyde Road. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.

The family would like to thank all the staff for their love and care of Fredia during her stay at Silver Bluff.
