Fred Keiser, Iii

Waynesville-Fred Croswell Keiser, III, age 76, died on Wednesday, May 18, 2005 at his residence. He was born on February 5, 1929 in Babson Park, Florida. He was the son of the late Fred C. Keiser, II of Babson Park, FL and Margaret B. Woore of Coconut Grove, Miami, FL and stepfather, A. M. Woore, a Miami attorney. He entered the US Navy in 1946 and served on the USS Valley Forge where he received the US Victory Medal. In 1949 he was employed by the City of Miami Engineering Department until 1963 and then went to work for Brevard County as a surveyor until his retirement in 1991. He belonged to the American Legion Post 47 and was a life member and enjoyed the outdoors. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Nora L. Keiser; a daughter, Susan E. Wesley, of Melbourne, FL; a son, Tom Keiser of Waynesville; four grandchildren, Tina Webster, Michael and Robert Wesley, and Michael Shifflette; and five great grandchildren, Sierra Webster, Alexis, Jordan, Drake, and Chance Wesley. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2005 at Green Hill Cemetery with Reverend Josh Cole officiating. Military services will be conducted by VFW Post 5202 and American Legion Post 47. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:30 p.m. prior at Wells Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Memorials may be made to one's favorite charity.
