Frankie Smith

Canton - Frankie Teague Smith, age 84, of Oak Street died Saturday, March 31, 2007 at Smoky Mountain Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center. She was a native of Buncombe County and the daughter of the late Houston Teague and Eva Mae Teague Ledford. She was preceded in death by her husband, Zeb H. Smith who died in 1992; four brothers; and three sisters. Frankie was a dedicated member of her church, Canton Free Will Baptist Church. She was a member of the church's senior adult ministry as well as a Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed quilting, but most importantly helping others in need. She is survived by two daughters, M. Jane Case of Clyde and Shirley Ingle of White Pine, TN; two sons, Michael Z. Smith and Barbara Bishop, of Southbridge, VA and Keith Smith and his wife, Tracy, of Greensboro; a sister, Mary Lou Tolleson and her husband, Ray, of North, SC; eight grandchildren, Darlene Hall, Tony and Marcus Case, Steven Ingle, Michael Todd, Aaron, and Sean Smith, and Amy Lovette; and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Charlie Harkleroad and Reverend Randy Teague officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
