Frank Taylor

Frank E. Taylor, aged 84, passed away peacefully on the 22nd of April, 2019. A Native of Buncombe County, he was the son of Frank N. Taylor and Mae F. Taylor. He was a member of Haywood Street United Methodist Church, where he served in the capacities of Chairperson of Trustees, Staff Parish Committee, and the Administrative Board. He worked for Colonial Baking Company in Asheville and was transferred to Clovis, N.M. as Superintendent. He also worked for Sunbeam bakery in Asheville as a Route Salesman, Supervisor, and Terminal Manager. He and his wife started Taylor’s Distribution Company Inc. and owned the business for over 35 years. Frank was an entrepreneur and successfully turned two retail Pepperidge Farm routes into 22, with the help of his daughters. His achievements include; Merit Award 1981-1982, Distributor of the Year in the Southeast Region of Pepperidge Farm 1992-1993 and 1995-1996. He was later on the Advisory Board for the Southeast Region of Pepperidge Farm.

He was married to his loving wife and mother of four lovely daughters, Betty S. Taylor, for 50 years. She went to be with the Lord in 2004. He leaves behind his daughters, Angela (JD) Heckhausen on Asheville, Tami Bryant of Asheville, Frankie (Charles) McMurray of Hendersonville, and Melinda (Andrew) Condrey of Spartanburg, SC; granddaughters, Candice Condrey, Carlee Rose Bryant, and Courtney Condrey and great granddaughter, Caylin Grace Horton.

His happiest times were spent on the lake fishing, playing music on his jukebox, and traveling with Betty.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00PM on Thursday, April 25th in the Chapel of Moore Funeral Home at Forest Lawn. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Candler.
