Frank Taylor

Frank Taylor, age 80, of 10 Sheppard Street died Tuesday, March 14, 2006 at VA Nursing Home in Asheville. He was a native of Buncombe County and was the son of the late William Aldon and Nora Ellen Jackson Taylor. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nell Towe Taylor who died in 1995 and 11 sisters and brothers. He was a United States Army Veteran of World War II serving during the Eurpoean Theater and the Battle of the Bulge. He is survived by two sons, Reverend Troy Taylor and his wife, Mary, and Roy Taylor and his wife, Sharon, both of Canton and a daughter, Wanda Sue Lester of Clyde as well as eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, March 17, 2006 at the Canton chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Troy Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Pisgah View Memorial Park with military graveside services. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
