Frank Morris, Jr.

Asheville, Frank Wilford Morris, Jr., 68, passed away Friday, November 29, 2019 after a brief illness at Mission Hospital.

Born in Gooding, Idaho to the late Frank Morris Sr. and Eileen Morris. He attended Boise State University. After enlisting in the United States Army, he was sent to Fort Bragg, which is what brought him to North Carolina. He also worked for the Bureau of Land Management Hot Shots Fire Crew. Frank retired from Asheville Fire Department after 25 years of dedicated service. He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and he attended the Central Branch in Asheville, North Carolina. Frank enjoyed being outdoors and traveling as the fun-loving adventurer he was.

Frank was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Pamela Morris. His parents Frank Morris Sr. and Eileen Morris and his sister Kathy Booth.

Frank is survived by his wife of two years, Bonnie Morris; three sons, Christopher Morris (Brandee), Justin Morris (Jennifer), Jordan Morris (Dawn); a daughter, Tanaya Morris; his beloved grandchildren, Jacob Morris, Austin Worrell, Addie Morris, Jackson Morris, Caroline Morris; a brother Bob Morris; his mother-in-law, Sheila Hall; and many nieces and nephews and his firefighter family.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Asheville, located at 50 Courtland Ave, Asheville, North Carolina 28801. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Arden, located at 3401 Sweeten Creek Road, Arden, North Carolina 28704. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Candler.
