Francis “Frank” Mulvaney, Jr. was a beloved individual who will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at Haywood Lodge in Haywood County, North Carolina.

Born on January 2, 1927, in Buncombe County, North Carolina, Frank was the son of the late Frank Mulvaney, Sr. and Kathryn Bradford Mulvaney. He grew up in a loving family and had a close bond with his siblings. Sadly, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Georgie Worley Mulvaney in 2018. He also mourned the loss of his sister, Kathryn Mulvaney Allen; his brother, Joseph Bradford Mulvaney; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Robert and Cora Mae Phillips; and brother-in-law, Guy Herbert Morris, Sr.

Frank's passion for numbers led him to pursue a career as an accountant. He dedicated 30 fruitful years of his life to Champion International as an accountant. His commitment to his profession was widely recognized and appreciated.

After completing his education at Lee H. Edwards High School, Frank continued to expand his knowledge at North Carolina State University. He graduated from NCSU with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. His educational background undoubtedly contributed to his success as an accountant.

Additionally, he was an esteemed member of the NC State Wolfpack Club and the NC State Alumni Association. These affiliations allowed him to stay connected to his alma mater and foster lifelong friendships.

Spirituality played a significant role in Frank's life. He was a devoted member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, where he found solace and guidance. His faith served as a source of strength and comfort throughout his remarkable journey.

Frank leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He is survived by his loving daughter, Lee Ann Fish, and her husband, Randy, of Lawrenceville, GA. His family was a constant source of joy and pride for him. He is also survived by two sisters: Mary Ann Mulvaney Morris of Weaverville and Marjorie Mulvaney Hagan of Hendersonville. Their bond was truly special, and their shared memories will forever hold a place in their hearts.

Frank had a wide circle of extended family members and friends who were fortunate to be touched by his kindness and warmth. Numerous nieces and nephews will remember him fondly for his wisdom and love.
