Frances Noland

Canton - Frances Eva Clark Noland, 88, passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at her daughter's residence.

A native of Haywood County, she was a daughter of the late Lyman and Bonnie Massie Clark. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jack Ben Noland, who died in 1978; three brothers, Ted, Hubert and Jerry Clark; and two grandchildren, Teddy Wells and Holly Williams. Frances retired from Lea Furniture Manufacturing with 26 years of service.

She is survived by four daughters, Louise Smith and Leo of Arden, Sharon Noland of Maggie Valley, Elena McCracken and David of Greer, South Carolina, and Jackie Henson of Canton; a special friend, Linda Barnes; three sisters, Barbara Burnette and the late Denny of Canton, Ruth McElreath and Joe and Trixie Haney and Gerald all of Candler; one brother, Ned Clark of Hickory; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2018 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Billy Ferguson and Minister Helen White officiating. Burial will follow at Gwyn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
